On the north shore of Lake Ontario in Toronto is Canada's largest city and fourth in North America. Population and the budget is higher than some Canadian provinces. With a metropolitan population of 4,682,900 of the city acts as the nation's financial, technology, communications and business capital as well as act as the capital of the province of Ontario. Surrounding the urban area beyond the city limits known as the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). Downtown Toronto is a compact area with a good bus links, metro and tram stops near the city. The city is also very clean and dynamic with people from all walks of life bustling. Toronto is a safe city, even at night when the city is still very busy and apart from some areas may be a select few wandering the streets without hindrance at all times. Toronto is one of the most expensive cities to live in North America, but as a visitor of this cost is not clear. Poverty and homelessness can be found throughout the city. The CN Tower, Skydome, China Town and the waterfront are a few of the many attractions the city offers.
